Friendly shoe shop

After researching a few places to get a custom bag made, I decided to visit the Friendly Shoe Shop. I met the owner one evening and after hearing about the stores, how they guarantee their work, and the obvious quality of leather, I decided to try them out. From the outset, Lei was exceptionally friendly and easy to deal with. After showing her images of the backpack I wanted and the customisation I was after, she made some recommendations on hardware etc to ensure I got the best quality. The hardest part was choosing the leather I wanted, but once again Lei came through with an amazing colour/quality of leather. Less than 30 hours later, I was back to check out the bag and ensure I was happy. Then after a few finishing touches, it was all mine! I can’t express you how happy I am with my bag and the service I received from Lei and the Friendly Shoe Shop team. The price I paid for the bag I got was very good value. After seeing my experience, my two friends ordered a work bag and a pair of shoes and they’re just as happy as I am! I had custom made boots made and sent internationally, the Friendly Shoe Shop were super helpful in getting the style sorted, and giving some recommendations, boots were made very fast and turned out just how I expected. Getting to choose the leather, toe shape, shank length, heel height, sole, lacing options, let me get a pair of boots I have tried for a long time to find due to having large feet, size 12 mens, but they fit exceptionally well. Really happy with them and will be looking to order again in the future, maybe one day I'll get to go in person, I already have ideas on what another pair could be. Thanks Friendly Shoe Shop

I came to the Friendly Shoe Shop to have my own design turned into real shoes. They measured my feet, took my design (i would recommend printing it off ahead of time to give as a guide), and then left it with them to turn it into a reality. They were, as the name states, very friendly. We went on Tuesday and I was able to pick up my shoes on Friday (the date I had said we would be back for them). I would recommend their shoe shop. All the staff we spoke with were really lovely. Thank you for my new shoes ❤️

Friendly Shoe Shop is a bit hidden among the many small shops in Old Town, but it’s well-known for its craftsmanship, especially for custom leather shoes and bags. They actually have three branches, and this one is the first and also the smallest. I came here wanting to make just one pair of shoes, something I could wear daily for work but also suitable for dressier occasions. After browsing through a lot of the sample shoes (some of them were honestly amazing), I finally found a design I liked and discussed my requirements with the shopkeeper. The initial price quoted was on the higher side, but after some negotiation we settled at around 15% lower. There are many types of leather to choose from. I picked calfskin for the outer layer, and for the inner lining they suggested pigskin. Since I’m Muslim, I opted for synthetic leather instead, and they were able to accommodate that. I did a fitting and found the shoe slightly loose, but they fixed it by the next day. They also mentioned that after collecting the final pair, the shoes need about four days of downtime for the glue to properly set before wearing them. The final fit was perfect. As usual, you can pay using cash or credit card, in either VND or USD, with no extra charge for card payments. Really recommend this place, and I’ll definitely come again in the future.
